The business analysis of COSCO Group’s business competition can enable us to have a deeper understanding of all aspects of the problems of a powerful shipping company and to learn more about how a successful company operates. COSCO Group’s development strategy comes from the shipping development plan of the entire country of China, which is the most representative state-owned shipping company. The study examined the effect of logistics outsourcing on operational performance of the selected manufacturing companies in Southwestern, Nigeria. These were with a view to providing information on the effect of logistics outsourcing on operational performance of the selected manufacturing companies in Southwestern, Nigeria. The article is organized progressively to elucidate on challenges being faced by producers of Fast Moving Consumer Goods and services in delivering values to their customers; and still remain in business as a going concern through outsourcing of logistics activities, despite the cost volatilities. Evidences area bound in the data was collected and analysed to draw up valid conclusions. The study adopted a descriptive survey design. Primary data on variables such as haulage, storage and facility/asset management and operational performance were obtained through the administration of questionnaire to respondents. The population of the study comprised of six hundred and twenty (620) senior managers, middle level officers and supervisors who were employees of the selected food manufacturing companies in Lagos, Oyo and Ogun states of Southwestern, Nigeria. Sample size of two hundred and sixty (260) employees of manufacturing companies in South western, Nigeria was selected for the study using Taro Yamane’s formula. Data obtained for the study were analysed using figures, tables, percentages and regression analysis. Result from the study showed that logistics outsourcing (F = 10.875, p < 0.05) had significant effect on operational performance of the selected manufacturing companies in Southwestern, Nigeria. Based on micro-data on water supply listed companies, the three-stage super- efficiency DEA model is used to measure the efficiency of China’s water supply enterprises from 2016 to 2020, and tries to combine the evolutionary game method and the Gini coefficient for further analysis. The empirical results demonstrate that: 1) from the result of the first and three-stage DEA model, the efficiency values of sample enterprises show that there is still room for further improvement and development of enterprise efficiency; 2) according to the subsample analysis, the efficiency value of large-scale and high-financing enterprises is higher than that of small-scale and low-financing enterprises; 3) from the evolutionary game results, when large-scale enterprises players all chooses a high-financing strategy, and small-scale enterprises players choose low-financing strategy, the overall balance point of the game is reached....
This paper deals with the importance of the implementation of meta-organizations on the governance of corridors with a particular case which is the Dakar-Bamako corridor. Firstly, the document deals with the notion of meta- organization and its consequences on the organization and on the evolution of the concept of corridor. And on this basis, justify how the metaorganization is the model that best adapts to the corridor compared to the concept of district and business ecosystem. To study this Dakar-Bamako corridor and its evolution towards a meta-organization, we conducted a qualitative study with the collection of primary data with the administration of 14 interview guides addressed to members representing the organizations, but also secondary data by using a bibliographical review and reports from ECOWAS and UEMOA, but also documents from bilateral cooperation between Senegal and Mali. The analysis of the results of an empirical study built on several stakeholders (regular actors and user actors) who are complementary in practice makes it possible, subsequently, to identify specificities in the issues that lead organizations to have to constitute themselves as a meta- organization. Commonalities are also emerging such as the increase in coordination functions and the establishment of simpler and more responsive organizational systems to facilitate governance in order to have effective and efficient transport execution throughout the corridor....
This descriptive study looked at the supply chain of vegetable production in Nueva Ecija, Philippines. The researcher collected data from farmers using a validated survey questionnaire and discovered that inputs in vegetable production are determined by the crop’s cultural requirements, with pre-harvest labor costs and other inputs accounting for most inputs. After harvesting, respondents claimed that a large quantity of vegetables means a higher profit for farmers, and eggplant could provide a reasonable cost of return. Almost all respondents do not have a place to store their produce. In practice, they deliver the vegetables directly to the market and, occasionally, to the middlemen. Farmers primarily use Kolong-Kolong to transport their vegetable products to market, which can be purchased per kilo or per bundle, with payment made in cash upon delivery. Regarding demand-supply, the availability of produce-vegetables was determined by the farmers’ adherence to the vegetable calendar....
